Why the Upgrade!

The Zoom Workplace replaces the old Zoom app and for the most part it works exactly same way as before, attendees need not upgrade (but may do if they wish or are instructed).

But for hosts all the actions are now located under there own button ‘Host tools’ making it considerably easier to manage meetings, prevent chats and quickly respond to BOMBINGS.

Easily reached on click actions which are really useful;

  • Suspend Participant Activities
  • Preventing Attendees from Chatting.
  • Preventing Attendees from Renaming themselves.

Notice

When Zoom Workplace is installed, the list of your recent meetings (the drop down list) will be lost!

Please take the time to note down the meeting codes and passcode for your meetings.

If you use a website link this is not a problem.

Installing the New Zoom App

  1. Click to Download from Zoom
  2. Goto the downloads folder and double click on ZoomInstallerFull.exe

Join Meeting

  1. Start from Zoom the normal way e.g. Start Menu
  2. Click the Join a meeting button (shown below).
  3. Enter meeting code and passcode (shown after below).

For attendees only. Hosts use zoom.us as usual.
